As we enter the second half of the test administration, we want parents and students to know the importance of taking the End-of-Year (EOY) portion of the assessment. The EOY portion of PARCC is not a separate test. Instead, it is the second part of PARCC. Students who participated in the PBA portion, but not in EOY, will not receive a score report nor count as a participant. The reason for separating the assessment into two portions in 2015 was to allow scorers to begin work on the PBA portion of the assessment while the EOY portion captures student learning later in the school year. In this way, the DOE can start to return results to the schools much faster than in the past.

Spring Parent Teacher Conferences are Here!

It is once again time for Parent Teacher Conferences at Neptune Middle School. Appointment times and dates are listed below. Through this online signup procedure, you can select relevant conferences with your children's teachers. Please consult Parent Portal if you are not sure which teacher your child has for each subject. As a reminder, please do not pick the same time slots for multiple teachers. Due to time restrictions, this will be on a first come, first served basis. If your child’s teacher does not have any available time slots, please contact the teacher via email if you wish to meet with them at another time.

 WELCOME TO NEPTUNE MIDDLE SCHOOL
"Home of the Jr. Scarlet Fliers"

Welcome to Neptune Middle School, home of the Jr. Scarlet Fliers. We are a community of approximately 900 students, which is rather evenly spread across grades 6, 7 and 8. Additionally, we have 121 faculty and staff members that serve our students. Working closely with parents and community resources, our goal and responsibility is to provide every student with the skills and opportunities to develop their full academic and social potential. We want every student to develop an enthusiasm for learning, and positive character traits for themselves that include being respectful and responsible individuals as they work within our community to improve the learning environment for us all. At Neptune Middle School we strive to provide our students with a safe and enjoyable environment where they are comfortable expressing their individuality while still being an important part of our larger community of learners. Ultimately, we are committed to ensuring that our students transition to Neptune High School confident and ensured that they have the skills and tools needed to become problem solvers and creative independent thinkers; preparing them for the next stage of their educational journey.
